I've got an interior scene modeled in Maya that has Baked lighting, and everything was going well. But when I imported another Maya fbx file from the same original Maya scene, it initially came in correctly, but then turned solid black. It also initially had a correct cast shadow but that also vanished. The corresponding Materials will not appear on it, but will appear if I drag them onto the room. I made the fbx from the same Maya file, so no changes or settings have been altered. Any ideas or solutions are appreciated, thanks
Wow! That's an interesting way to solve that problem. I almost thought, that the blackening problem that you were experiencing might have been caused, by bad UV's or flipped normals. Glad that you figured it out though.
