Does anyone here use Maya? I really need help with this and no one is responding on the Maya forum (it's been a few days). :(

When exporting a blendshape I'm getting this error:

The Morph targets will be ignored.

The morph target object : [blah blah] vertex count does not match the base object vertex count. The target will not be exported.

    Ignoring this target.

I'm trying to export a human model. I extracted the faces of the head and duplicated it for the blendshape then recombined the original with the body (I made sure all the vertex IDs still match up). I'm trying to export it now to bring it into Unity but I'm getting this error. How do I have blendshapes on just the head of the model without encountering this error?

I followed a tutorial that's supposed to teach you how you can have blendshapes on just the head of your model instead of the entire body but still have the head be combined with the body on the original. I followed the tutorial exactly but I can't export it without this error...
