It seems Unity has limited support for Maya ascii files? I accidentally placed a .ma file in the Assets folder and was surprised to see it appear as a valid object in the Project view. In Maya the object had several textures associated with it, but in Unity there only appeared to be one for the whole object and the uv's seemed to be lost.

Is there limited support for Maya .ma files? This would of course be a HUGE plus for Modo users of course :)

    Richard.

Unity supports Maya ascii files in the same way it supports Maya binary. It requires Maya to be installed to do the actual conversion.

A neat way of using Maya - shame if you don't have it though.

    thanks,
