MaterialEditor vs ShaderGUI?..

    So we got MaterialEditor in Unity 4.1, and ShaderGUI in Unity 5.0. Both do the same thing - allow you to program a custom GUI for the material.
    Scripting reference for ShaderGUI says this:
    This is not helpful at all. What's the difference between them except Substance support in ShaderGUI? Are there any cases when MaterialEditor suits better? If ShaderGUI is basically the new version of MaterialEditor, then why MaterialEditor is not marked as deprecated?
    I'd be very grateful for a clear answer on this.
