    Ehnn,

Nice work! Really like what you have here so far! I like the turn-based tactic genre as well and am currently developing my own game. Out of curiosity, how are you creating your grid and boundaries? I currently run a procedurally generated map, but I'm not sure I want to stick with that.

Hey! Thanks so much guys! I remember your feedback from back when the thread originally started. It meant the world to me

Was debating if to put out a build or not, and you guys settled it. This is the build we just submitted to PAX East MEGABOOTH, we're really hoping to get in. We actually have quite a bit more in the game, a strategic layer, all kinds of different missions, and random generation - but they're a little unpolished, so we left them out

All feedback, as always, is appreciated

    theANMATOR2b,
Our youtube manager is terrible, and should be sacked for doing an awful job. Unfortunately he's also the programmer and producer, and me. Here's the url :) It's not updated as often as it should be

    Aimlessone,
We wrote tools for the editor that we use to make the grid and place objects on it
We also have the same age-old debate between randomly generated missions and predefined ones (I won't let the game release without randomness, I think it's that essential)
There's a third option here though - a mix between the two. why not make an editor where a predefined grid can be built, and put a random generation system in it? Then you can press the button a hundred times until a level pops out that inspires you. this was a tremendous help for us

Actually, was just going through the youtube channel clearing out random videos - found this and made it public for your viewing, it's an example of random terrain generation (right at the end). Every time without fail I'll get inspired with either an already-built mission or at the very least an idea for a cool one by randomly generating the terrain 20 times at most

I'll see if I can make a Mac version

Uploaded a new version, had a pretty severe bug where opening the game for the first time set the sound volume to 0. If you played the game and heard no sounds, please try it again and set the sounds in Settings to 1

New build is up, with much much better gameplay (I think). Check it out, unless crucial bugs pop up I think I'll be sending to some publishers today

Sorry Schneider - tried my best to make a mac build, but it's too much effort at the moment :( Before sending to indie fund we'll put one out, which involves burrowing a friend's mac for a time, but it'll take a little while. I'll definitely PM you when it happens

Understandable. Gotta focus on getting the game done first!

I can't say it enough... I really am amazed at how great this game looks. Very excited to play it again.

Update: We were selected to present at GDC by Indie Megabooth. We had a little booth there, and things went amazingly well, got a lot of positive feedback, suggestions, contacts and we're in talks with publishers showing interest
