    Hi,

Not sure if this is the best forum for this post, but it might be a WIP thread..
I would like to ask for your input on what marketing strategies you use/used to market your games, which is a very big part of the industry (making the game is only half the story!) and I don't think is it that common knowledge, and also how effective each you think they are.

I can start of the list/suggestions:
    Youtube gameplays/reviews.
    Dev blogs
    Steam curators/reviews
    keymailers
    give aways /discounts
    publish/advertise on multiple platforms
Write to relevant forums, make aware of game
    Post on social media: twitter/insta/FB
    Discord/Twitch sessions
Post on Made with Unity :)

I would like to hear your thoughts / entries and how you think how well they work.

Good ideas, but all of this is just shrapnel without a strategy. I recommend Chris Zukowski's Gamasutra articles on creating a sales funnel. I'm no expert, but that's what I'm using for my game, because any strategy is better than no strategy :)

Somewhere you can document your progress and look back.
Youtube / or other video platoform, to put testings and demos.
Social media, again, where you can document stuff.
Or at leat a forum for the game project progress.
