So, I downloaded a road texture. A really good one. But when I applied it to a scaled cube to make a road I almost burst out laughing The texture in the viewer looks so different from the original, but most of all it's shiny and looks like it's been made of marble, very far from the concrete type road i was aiming for as seen the the first video Also, the grass. Original Texture: What i'm trying to achieve is this: But I keep getting something like this: Am I doing something wrong? If so, how can I improve the graphics to look like the second last photo?
uh... git gud? Okay, flippancy aside, CGI [computer graphics imagery] is an expansive profession that can take years to learn and even more years to master. Sorry to say, no one forum post is going to help you in this endeavor. Check this out... in only 28 hours you should be well on your way...
Thanks for the reply, definitely will check out the link Came across this image when researching for CGI (I know it's probably limited to extremely powerful computers movies run on)... *drools And yes this isn't a real image, it's computer generated EDIT: Still though, about the road. I see people doing the exact same thing and the exact texture appears. Im pretty sure im actually doing something wrong there
