Malbers Dragons (Closed)

    @Malbers Any elegant way to speed up the animations transition?
    I have my dragon set to follow a target, but it takes time to transition to running animation and hence it lags behind.
    What I want to achieve is instantaneous follow movement without much lerping if that makes sense.

    Try to modify the L (Lerp) values on the Speeds

    Happy New Year to you and all your fantastic animals! ;-)
    Quick question, I hope: I'm trying to temporarily disable the LookAt function on my dragon. I'm flipping him upside-down via my own script, but his head twists (in the forward axis) so that it stays upright (reverse of the upside down body).

    I don't need anything fancy, just to TURN OFF the LookAt script while he's upside-down, then restore it when he's upright again. I've tried several script calls, e.g.
    myLookAt.EnableLookAt(false);
    as well as ".Active" and "AnimationActive," and even simply turning off the component. NOTHING makes any difference. I've even tried editing the LookAt script directly, but apparently the functions are tied directly into the Animator graph (?).

    I'd rather not dive back into the animator if I can avoid it. Is there any way to simply deactivate the LookAt function, temporarily, from script? Thanks!

    UPDATE: Problem solved -- it was a simple script error on my part -- I was setting the variable's new value but failing to set the property TO the variable's new value. :-D

    Hey Malber. Probably a bit of a noob question but I'm wondering if it's possible to just be able to open up the mouth through the script? I took out the Attack2 and Shift so I can't use either of those but if there's some way to set that on the animator alone that'd be great lol.

    The texture variations are awesome. It works also with Meadow Environment

    No, they are gone. I noticed it an hour ago. Looks like a bug on the asset store.

    Also gone are many of Malibers' other assets, including all of the Poly Art animals. Very sad.

    FWIW you can still buy many of his assets on Sketchfab.

    Actually it seems like all of the Malbers assets that got updated on 20th January 2019 got deprecated.

    It was a mistake on the last submissions.... an added by accident an unwanted file on the Upload.
    Please apologies for the inconveniences All assets will be restored today.

    The models look great Malbers! but I would change some of the textures. they blend in a lot of back grounds in known assets. Like the one Rowlan is posting. I would suggest to add different texture variance and balance. Maybe add some translucency in some of the wings of some of it. and more contrast in the over all texture. regardless damn nice model/ Nice work though.:)

    @Rowlan May I ask how you achieved that fur like look for Irval? (in the pictures in the Meadow Environment)
    Your pictures all look incredibly amazing :)

    It's just a different texture, that comes with Irval. I didn't do anything special. Do keep in mind though that PostProcessing also has a certain effect, also which Render Pipeline you use.

    Ah I see it's the concrete texture, but yours looks so incredible. Do you mind sharing your settings? are you just using HDRP and post processing(looks like ambient occlusion, color grading and blur) or do you also you special material settings?

    Yes, it's the concrete texture. Using the Standard Unity Pipeline. No special materials. Just the postprocessing in the attachment.

    Just checked out some more of the animations, in this case swimming and diving. Superb like the others, very impressive work @Malbers :)

    Hi! Can you please help me to set up this dragon? I want him to smoothly fly from point to point, but instead he is standing up on invisible (and unexisting) obstacles, jumping on it etc... What can I do to fix this behaviour?

    1. It should not use 2nd jump on hold. It should be used on tap again only.
    2. it should glide on holding Jump.

    just tell me how I can do this. I will do it my self. Thanks.

    You can disable the Land parameter on the Fly Group (Animal Script) Try That and let me know

    You can Change the Jump Row on the Malbers Input Script to Down instead of Press that will avoid Holding the Jump
    or you can disable Jump Press on the Animal Script too.
    Now that is more complicated... I need to think of a way of doing that without changing any code.

    haha, awesome. the hap animations have a petting animation. now my dragon rider is petting the wyvern :D

    also, dragon riding is like riding a bike. and don't believe what everyone tells you. size does matter :D

    I see that only happens with the Jump in place animation... that is transitioning to the Jump in place End
    Can you make an example of that issue on an empty scene without the environment to see if the problem persist?

    Hi guys.... Lately I have being a bit slow with the support... here's why:
    Since the Assets have gain some popularity the
    Request for support has increased exponentially..
    Mainly Because I'm now on Unity, Unreal, Sketchfab, CGTrader and CubeBrush...
    Request come from all places, Store Forums, Youtube comments, Email, Facebook Page, Twitter, Unity Connect...
    Some Request are easy and I usually have the answer. But others require more time to finish.
    On top of that I being having some Personal problems that requires my full attention. and lastly I'm working on new assets too... I need to keep the engine working ;)


    I have all the Request, on my Keep Page, they are not forgotten.

    A little help please.
    in latest update changelog you mentioned that speed will not reset after landing. But I am getting this issue of resetting speed.
    Using Little Dragon Sea.

    Here is in the Code the Restore for the GroundSpeed:

    Once the Fly is True I store the GroundSpeed on the variable LastGroundSpeed..
    Once Fly is off the ground Speed is restored once again
