Major issue with Unity Learn

Hello everyone,

I hope this is the correct sub forum to post my question.
I tried to use Unity Learn, but Iam not able to view any video because of the following error:

"The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported."

I already tried different browsers and reinstalling flash, but nothing helps.

For me it seems too be related to windows 10 somehow because it works on the machine where I am running windows 7

Well I know I have been using Unity for a couple of years now. But I just got a premium membership to Unity Learn in a bundle and now I want to milk it for what it's worth

 

So after way too long I now realized that it was my antivirus program that was causing this problem. I had tried to disable it, but it still didn't work, so at first I didn't think that it was the cause. But closing the program fully and not just disabling the security made the videos work, so maybe you have the same problem.

 

Doesn't work for me.
I have no adblock or anything. No antivirus (which shouldn't be mandatory to disable anyways) active. Still no video loads.

 

That worked for me (I'm using Kaspersky as antivirus). Note that simply disabling the antivirus won't work, it has to be closed in order to reproduce the videos.

However, I closed the antivirus just for testing this solution and provide feedback. I'm not going to close it every time I need to see a video on Unity Learn, I'll look for other resources while this issue is still on.

 

One day videos has stopped working. I tried many browser, i tried watch videos from my phone, i tried use home wi-fi and mobile internet but it all was useless. Looks like unity dont give a f*** about this problem

 

Mine stopped working today, as well (I also tried many different browsers). Maybe there is a server problem at Unity?

 

Yup, experiencing the same problem. Feels like it is an issue on Unity's side

 

I have the same problem.I think it could be a problem for their servers.
Could it have something to do with this message?

Got the same problem. Was working without any issues and then suddenly yesterday or when it was it stopped working, so could be something with their servers....

 

Is Unity Learn part of Unity Connect?

 

Ok, seems like only that lesson was not working, when I choose another lesson it works!

 

I have the same problem on the videos in Junior Programmer pathway mission Programming Simple Functionality unit 5 and 5.1. However, other videos are okay. Is it just me? Can someone check these videos please.

 

A link would be welcome...

 

Videos from Junior Programmer Unit 1 Lab 1 are also unavailable, at least for me.

I have the same problem in Lesson3.2! All of the videos in that particular section are not working.

 

They work for me, are they still broken for you?
The lesson 1.2 from Junior Programmer pathway I need to do to progress is still broken. Same for the lesson 1.3. The rest of unit 1 is just fine. Just my bloody luck!

The response I've got from Unity Learn administrator! It helped me to fix the issue.

"Hi! We're sorry that videos aren't loading at the moment. The team recently updated the Learn platform and an old version of your site may be cached by your browser.

You can hold down Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Command + Shift + Delete on Mac) To access your browser’s options on clearing the cache. Then check the box to clear the cache of temporary internet images and files, and confirm. Then, re-load this page and you’ll be back on your learning journey!

Thank you for your patience and for reaching out about this issue!"

Same here! Yesterday I have been learning with c# survival today this problem occurred. Maybe if more people declare this problem to Unity they will do something. I personally already contacted the customer service hoping they would find a definitive solution to this issue so I can continue my learning journey.
