    Good evening.

    First, I wanted to thank you for all that are in Unity3D the project, and also to all the Unity3D on Linux project. So far everything is functional, but do not know if it's something the engine or a possible error in the operating system, or even mine.

    I need to access the main menu of Unity, but it does not appear as shown in this print. Is there a bug causing it or a keyboard shortcut to display the menu?

    Sincerely, Gabriel Oliveira Brito.

    I get "Access Denied" for the screen capture.
    If the main menu's not working, that's a bug - what desktop environment are you using?

    I'm running Ubuntu 16.04 with XFCE I haven't noticed any problems so far, menu bar is where I expect it. Could be the desktop interface you're using?

    Using Unity as your DE in ubuntu will place the Unity3D main menu in the top bar. Per default it's only shown when hovering it with the mouse cursor.

    I'm currently on Ubuntu 16.04 and it works.

    Hi Gabriel,

    I have the same issue, but it seems it's a bug in Unity DE, and not in Unity3D. If you run this command in terminal then it should be solved for the current session:

    $ initctl restart unity-panel-service

    You can create a script to execute this and add it to the startup apps.

    I've found this workaround here:
    http://askubuntu.com/questions/762137/applications-menu-missing-from-menu-bar

    Hope this helps.

    Sincerely, Mate Jakab

    Sorry for the delay to respond, I was half disconnected this time.

    @Tak
    I will take new screenshot, but the error itself is really the main menu does not appear as the other Ubuntu programs menu.

    #EDIT
    Try this link. Lightshot app in ubuntu using Wine give-me seriously problems :(

    @rorywalsh
    The default Ubuntu system interface, Unity I believe.

    @Odd Redesign
    I leave the cursor in the menu area, but nothing appears.

    @mate.jakab
    When I'm with the active desktop, will test.

    To all thank you for the answer, I try to answer as quickly as possible.
    Sorry for the delay in posting this response.

    Definitely sounds like an issue with the default Ubuntu desktop environment. What happens if you move the main Ubuntu menu to the bottom of the screen? I wonder if it's hiding the Unity menu. You could also try enabling the auto-hide feature of the Ubuntu menu.

    Btw, isn't using Wine to grab a screenshot going a tad overboard! :eek:
