    Hi all,
I couldn’t figure out where best to post this.

so I’m a bit of a particle system newbie in Unity. I’ve made simple emitters and a stream that fires straight out from the emitter however I am trying to figure out how to make a particle stream interact with objects as if it is a magnetic force.

I guess think of Breath of the Wild.

let’s say my constantly emitting stream connects with a metallic object. I want to have it start dragging the object but this means the stream now needs to follow a spline that would deform as I pull away and become more straight as the object follows. Is there an easy way to make a particle stream follow a spline such that the stream can tether to a connecting point? I’m sure I can come up with a scripting solution but the particle system seems really powerful I’d be surprised if there wasn’t a way to do that.

also if someone knows a better topic to put this under please let me know. I’d rather put it in the right place.
