Mac OSX Crash When Creating a New Render Texture?

Hi, we're getting a consistent crash when trying to create a new render Texture in Unity 3.5 on our Mac OSX. Crashes every time we try to create a new one, but we created a new project on a different computer (a PC) and added a render texture to the project. If we open that project on the Mac it works fine, we can even successfully duplicate the RT in that project... we simply cannot create one if one does not yet exist on our Mac system.

Just wondering if anyone else has seen this issue before we bug the support folks at Unity?

    Thanks,
    Ken

Same problem for me. It was ok until I update to 3.5.6 version of Unity. I've also the 3.5.4 version, but it now crashes with this version too.
    I've Mac OS X version 10.7.5.

I tried to create a Render Texture, crash.
I also transfered a Render Texture from another project, when I select it on the project window, crash.

    Any solution? Thanks !

    OSX10.7.5, 2.93GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon Early 2009 Mac Pro, 8GB ram, Radeon HD 4870 512MB

Coworker on a mac was able to create the renderTexture, which I can hook up. Clicking on it in the assets crashes 50% of the time, when it doesn't crash, clicking on any property of it crashes 50% of the time.

When I can click on it, it's showing as garbled: http://screencast.com/t/3PiIRoRl (this was after crash changing the texture W/H to 512, then W back to 256 and then clicking on W)

Even though the renderingCamera looks fine: http://screencast.com/t/Qksi8wwm

Completely wiped Unity, installed new 3.5.6, same issue (screenshots above are from 3.5.6).

Coworker has OSX10.7.4 and has no issues. I've heard there's some issues w/ Unity in OSX10.8. Maybe Apple stuck something similar into the .5 update?

Crash happens on 10.7.5 with any vga which uses ATIRadeonX3000GLDriver (66xx, 67xx series). It will be hotfixed as soon as fix is available.

Had this problem, Updated OSX and I can confirm that it doesn't happen in version 10.8.2 (Mountain Lion). You have 2 options, wait for the fix or update the OS (USD$20)

I've also bump into this crash problem and waste many time..
And found solution that is turning off Auto refresh asset.

Unity preference -> General -> Auto Refresh -> off

Off course this way needs to refresh assets manually.

Autorefresh did not help me, either. OSX 10.7.5, Unity 3.56...

Downloading 3.5.7 to see if that resolves the issue will post later.
