    Hi there,

I am planning the purchase of a Mac Book Pro 13" for my development should I take 4 or 2 cores?

    Thanks for the answer.

First of all I am not a Mac user, but from my experience with all development things,, I have already experienced, I can say that 4 cores are always better. I upgraded my notebook from two to four cores and I cannot even imagine anymore using the duo core. Also the trend goes more and more to 6 or even more cores
But in the end it really depends on what you expect.

Btw I can recommend this video click even if it is related to cg

Thanks for the quick answer. I am planning on using physics and particles so I thought quad-core might do the trick.
    Do you confirm?

I assume you're not talking about a new one, since you can't get a 2018 Macbook Pro without quad core. Careful about getting one that's too old, since you wouldn't be able to upgrade it to the latest OS. Physics benefits from multiple cores, not sure about particles.
