Can confirm macOS 12.6 is still having crackling issues- extremely frustrating.

Even with macOS Ventura 13.0 it still happens (Unity 2021.3.10).

I also have the issue with mac ventura, with the airpods even the music is stopped... for the price of my mac book pro 14 m1 max, i would expect more from apple.

I think the bug is less acute in macOS 13.1 and Unity 2021.3.14 but I can still hear some crackling noises.

I hear it all the time still, definetly an MacOs issue, it's just horrible at switching audio. For the longest time whenever I was using a headset with integrated mic macos would shift my sound all the way to 1 ear (left) and from what I could gather it seems to be due to macos not handling multiple channel very well. I had to setup an aggregate device to make it work, some times. People who say Mac is the solution to all problem don't do anything but browsing, change my mind.

I've been using a Mac for well over a decade and never had an issue with sound cutting off during heavy lifting like that until macOS Monterey last year. It's some bug between the OS and Unity since it doesn't seem to happen when using any other app. At least it's gotten better recently since I hear much less crackling noises now.

Several people on the apple forums reported this as fixed after using eqMac.

The app creates its own audio channel, which does seem to work so far.

Still occurs when using air pods, and then disconnecting them. Restarting unity does not help.

Using M1 Pro. Nothing fixes the issue any news or solution. My airpods make a weird noise and disconnects. Normal speakers pop/crack constantly with each compile/run/stop action.

This might be fixed in Sonoma.

    Anyone confirm?
I'm scared of updating since Unity has a history of bugs working with new macOS releases until months in. Screen Shot 2023-09-26 at 16.35.40.png
