LWRP: How to get a distortion effect?

    I've noticed in the LWRP shaders there is a box for adding distortion, but I'm looking for an effect similar to what you can do with a particle with the standard pipeline. I have a ton of distortion materials that would work in the standard pipeline, but they are all broken now, even after using the LWRP material tool. How can I get a particle that uses a normal without color? I tried this with the shader graph and I don't understand what I'm doing enough to get the effect I'm looking for.
