Hi everyone. Today I decided to finally sit down and give Unity a try, and start learning the basics. Much to my surprise I adapted to it really fast and created a map I was really happy with. I then decided to save the project and the scene (saved the scene to my desktop). However, now loading up the scene shows an empty engine with just a camera in the middle, none of my work.

I have gone into Unity and opened the scene on my desktop, to no avail, searched my documents, still nothing. I have a few files named; new Unity Project 1. sln, .uderprefs, .csharp.sln etc but nothing that loads the actual work.

Whilst I would LOVE to have my original work back I feel this is now lost, but I would appreciated if someone could help me prevent this happening in the future, thanks, Paul.

You should save scene file in Assets folder, it's located under your Unity project folder :)

Ok I'll bear that in mind in the future. I guess I should have checked that it was all in order before closing Unity also
