Looking for the best server solution for my game

Hello! I want to develop a game that in its basics is like Club Penguin -
an MMO with different rooms (every room is a different scene), that every room contains different people.
I'm looking for a good solution for the type of game I'm looking for.

I used SmartFoxServer before (in the Flash era) and I like their implantation of different rooms.
I would like to know if there is a better solution for me, maybe cheaper or even a free one?

I tried to look into Mirror but it seems that it doesn't really support different scenes (I can implement it but it will take a while and I'm new to network developing).

SmartFoxServer is still available in the non-Flash era, and it also comes with a free "Community Edition" version.
