    Hi guys,

I've just finished my website FrontGaming.com!
But before I'm going to promote it, I want to add some cool games.

Have you made a game with unity and want publicity?
    Sent me your game!
I will test every game before I put it on the site.
It doesn't need outstanding graphics or 100 levels, the only must is that it's good playable and fun to do!

Because I want FrontGaming to be different, I really test the games before it comes on the site.
I want to achieve that you can be proud that your game made it to the site!
I don't want it to be a site with a few hundred games like any other.
    But the worthy games!

And even though FrontGaming is still in his early stages, I expect it to have more and more visitors.
But before I'm going to promote the site, I want it to have some worthy games where people come back for.
    Maybe your game? :)

You can sent a link to your game to info.frontgaming@gmail.com so I can test it.
If I decided that I would want to add the game to the site, you can sent the Webplayer Build to me. (For example via WeTransfer.com)

If you have any questions you can also mail to info.frontgaming@gmail.com, contact me via FrontGaming.com, or post it here of course.
I'm really looking forward to the games I can test and of course I will let you know if I put it on the site!!

    Yours sincerely,

    Thommy

P.S. When your game comes on the site, I can put a link to your website in the about section if you want!

What sort of monetisation are you offering?

There is a link to my game in my signature, you are welcome to make an offer.

FrontGaming isn't going to be a site with hundreds of games like any other games website.
It will be a selection of worthy games, so you have a much much higher chance that people will play your game.
Your game will get noticed earlier, especially now in his early stages.
You can put a small trademark in the game of your company for example.
I think it's a great opportunity for game designers to have a higher chance of getting noticed.

Edited addition: When I visit a popular game website, I really have no idea what I should play.
So that's why I think it's good to have a minimum number of games, but still variation.
    Quality above quantity :)

It is a good idea on the one hand to set up a game site featuring only hand-picked games. On the other hand you do realize that if even 1% of the people making games in Unity submitted them you'd have at least hundreds of games instantly, right?

I am not knocking the idea or your site. I thought about doing this kind of thing as well to help navigate through the flood of games out there. I scratched that idea because focusing on only a few hundred games the site would be filled up very quickly and that would be the end of it. Unless I kept adding games as fast as they were submitted, reviewed and accepted... in which case it would end up like every other site filled with thousands (or tens of thousands) of games and each buried in the pile.

I considered limiting the collection to only 100 or maybe 500 games. With new games added each day (1 game), week (5 games) or month(10 games) and those being featured on the front page. But as the new games are added the oldest games are dropped from the collection. Just throwing this out for your consideration as well because it would keep content fresh for players and still allow the game authors enough time to get some exposure for their games.

Anyway, best of luck with your new site! I hope it works out well for you and all of the participants!

    Thanks for your reply!
The more games, the more stricter I will be when adding a new game.
I really don't want it to be a site with hundreds of games, but more like a mark for a good playable game.
Where you can be proud of as game designer :)

This line bugs me. Once a webplayer build is in your hands there is no reason to stop you uploading it without further discussion with the developer. Why not ask players to host it somewhere else you can do test plays. Keep the webplayer file out of it until you have actually determined you wish to buy the game.

Thanks for your reply, I actually never thought about that.
I just wanted to make it as easy as possible, but your right.
It's better when I just get a link to test the game.
    Thanks for your advice! :)

Just checked out the website, it looks okay but from the one game you have added, it doesn't seem to have a description of the game not even the name of the developers. All I saw was a webplayer. There are also ads on the site, do you give developers any portion of the money from the ads on the page of their game?

The website is still in his early stages.
I wanted to make it as simple as possible, but a description is a good idea.
About the ads, there is just one Google Adsense banner on every page because I hate all the yelling ads on other sites.
But that results in a very minimum amount of money.

Like I said in the earlier posts, it's more for developers to get noticed.
I can't invest more money in a monetizing system YET.
When FrontGaming gets more and more visitors, I can maybe make a system like that.
But that is just not possible yet.

Well, that seems a bit like you are taking advantage of the developer and getting money from their games. Most of them will probably link it to friends and fans therefore increasing traffic on your website, and yet they are getting nothing in return. This is just me though, after I finish my game I want to actually earn money from it, but there are also people who don't care about the money. I wish you luck.

"Well, that seems a bit like you are taking advantage of the developer and getting money from their games."
Don't get me wrong, I totally get your point of view.
    But I see it like this;

    You already finished your game.
When you want it on FrontGaming, you can only get more visitors.
With a link to your site in the description of the game for example, your site can get more visitors too.
You have nothing to lose, you can only come out the same or better.

"Most of them will probably link it to friends and fans therefore increasing traffic on your website, and yet they are getting nothing in return."
When your game comes on the website, people will see it,
Because there won't be hundreds of games on it.
So if I'm promoting the website, I'm indirectly promoting your game.
I'm paying for the website every month to keep your game online.
I will make sure the website doesn't fail when there is more traffic.

There won't be more ads on the website because that's very annoying as visitor.
There also won't be an ad before they can play your game.
I think that's a big plus, I'd rather put my game on a site with 1 banner a page,
then put it on a site full of ads and make a few cents/dollars out of it.

    I see it like a win-win situation.
My webite may get more visitors, your game may get more visitors.
You can use my website to get it online and get noticed, I can use your game to get visitors.

But like I said, when FrontGaming gets more and more visitors and that one banner makes me a profit, I would love to share it with the developers.
