Loading skinned mesh object into existing skinned mesh parent?

    Hey guys,

    I have a character model which is a skinned mesh and has armour which also has skinned mesh attached to that object. I'm trying to remove the armour from the model and store that in a prefab and attempting to load that prefab and set it as a child of the parent object (character model) through code (I'm also setting the root bone back again), however when I do this, the model (armour) becomes invisible? Has anyone experienced this? anyone know how to resolve this issue?
