I did "send to" to my flash drive and the folder is there with everything in it but I have no idea how load my project from that instead of from the app itself.

When you launch Unity, simply select "Open" in the top right and browse to the folder with your project in it.

If you don't see it in the projects window that you first see when you launch Unity, you need to change the path for saved projects to the flash drive. You should also be able to double click on the scene file on your flash drive.

The being said this is a bad idea. Flash drives are slow and a descent size project will be painful slow to load. Save you project to your desktop and copy to your flash and copy back to your desktop will be faster if you in development. Are you working on multiple computers or sharing your project? Best answer don't do it.

You don't select a file, you select the root folder that holds all of your project data. IE, this folder:

It's a fairly small 2d game, its not some big 3d game with tons of animation and graphics.

Hey folks so here's the issue:

After clicking "Open" in the top right, and after clicking on the folder that has my unity project, 5 more folders came up: .vs, Assets, Library, ProjectSettings, UnityPackageManager

Which one do I click on?

None of them. Once you've navigated to the correct folder (containing Assets, Library, etc) you simply click Select Folder.

I don't have that, I'm on Windows. Clicking once doesn't do anything, clicking twice brings me to those 5 folders.

It's the same no matter what your OS. Open Unity. Click File -> Open Project. Navigate to the directory that has those 5 folders in it. At the bottom of the window, there's a button that says "Select Folder". Click that.
