    Hi All,

I am NOT testing my in-app purchases. No one else tests except me. So test purchases can be ruled out.
I did NOT put any IAP tracking code in my analytics.
I did NOT fill in any IAP related data in analytics dashboard.
I earn average of $1 in IAP on Google Play.

However, LiveStream shows me like $22 - $84 earnings per day. The same is NOT present in the revenue graph which updates every ~10 hrs.

So the question is, should I be worried about fraudulent purchases or can I safely ignore this?

    Hi @jayanthg,

The only way for IAP revenue information to show up in Livestream and the dashboard is if either Unity IAP is being used or Transaction events have been instrumented. If you have done neither of those, it is quite weird that you're getting revenue information on the dashboard (and in the monetization validator on the Integration pages), so I would suggest double checking that. (Perhaps old builds had IAP tracking code in it?)

Some small unrecognized purchases can come from the stores testing purchases during the app approval process (Noticed it especially with Apple), however it would not be as much as you are seeing. On the Data Explorer for your app it looks like there is a lot of unverified revenue from Google. Since it sounds like it's neither legitimate nor test revenue, than it is likely fraud.

It is up to you whether that is something you want to worry about, but if you do you can use Unity IAP and Receipt validation (http://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/UnityIAPValidatingReceipts.html) to block users from getting products that they haven't actually purchased.

    Hi,

I am reviving an old thread because I have now integrated all security features (receipt validation) but I still see Unverified revenue of about $1000 a day.

So I went ahead and put in some analytics to see how many purchases are valid/invalid. I am getting an average of 10 invalid purchases per day with empty product id. How much unverified revenue will this amount to?

PS: I use Unity IAP and Receipt Validation. I also Use Transaction events.

I think this may be part of the issue. Unity IAP uses the Transaction events internally, so it is not necessary to use them on your own. This may result in double counting of your revenue, but the second time may show up as unverified.
