List of commercial Asset Store items that has since BECOME FREE!!!!!

I would like to find a proper free shatter script, or even just the source code.

 

Are you seen this? I've not tried it, but I was aware of it.

 

Because NGUI is better and more advanced ... I hate the new UI I mean, I use it a little , but not a fan of it, ya its better than the old, but NGUI is way better..

It is probably more advanced. It also has a lot of bugs and really weird things that happen sometimes. Have you seen the huge number of scathing reviews of NGUI on the store? Not to say that uGUI is better, I don't have enough experience to say.

 

I been using NGUI since it released, so saying it has those type of bugs I find to be funny, I have made around 10 games with it and never ran into many issues that I would not have with UGUI, Which I know. I been a professional Game UI, Designer , Programmer for over 10 years .. WebDesign for 15.

Reviews has 5 stars over all, for NGUI... Plus its been one of the leading assets over any assets for a long time that must say alot.. Some of the bad reviews was that newbie UI programmers struggled, because UI Programming if done right is not easy... Thats why you see bad designs in UI and people copying others designs, which drives me nuts..

 

I've used UGUI a little and NGUI a lot, and I'd pick UGUI hands down in the future. It doesn't do as much yet, but what it does do is done exceptionally well and I find the workflow to be far smoother.

To be fair, that's comparing against NGUI from about a year ago, so it could have come a long way since.

 

Having run into some of them I don't find them funny at all. It didn't stop me getting the job done and it was still overall the best tool at the time, but I definitely had times of frustration working with it.

Acrocatic has gone free. I think it used to cost around $20. The dev lost interest so he set it free.

 

How funny, I actually paid for that one last year. Pretty good 2d framework. I highly recommend it

There's a great Steamworks wrapper alternative called Steamworks.NET - made by Steam user rlabrecque. Ludosity seem to have abandoned their wrapper, according to this post from another thread...
