I recall in the past you mention Standalone 2018 would use il2cpp, how is that coming along for Linux?

You might think Linux is not widely used and the effort is not justified, thou remember a few Linux servers can host ten-thousands of Android / iOS games.

Anyone know ways of possible compiling the headless Linux build without Mono?

Barring unusual circumstances (platform changes that prevent compiling, securiity exploits, etc) Unity doesn't backport to older releases. If it isn't already available for Unity 2018 or 2019, you won't be seeing it for those releases.

If this is an important feature to you then the best place to ask this question is in the alpha and beta forum sections.

What are you expecting for an answer? Unity is the one that has to provide support. We can't do it ourselves.

Just about everyone that has moved past the point of being a beginner should be aware of this these days. :p

I think I read it will be part of 2019.3, but not sure.
