Not usually. 3DS Max is the industry standard for these adjustments, this and its versatility makes it pretty much invaluable in the process.
In this case I use graphite tools (max). However the Agisoft PhotoScan tool outputs pretty efficient and clean meshes, provided the scan is done well. In theory we could exclusively use the output (once we remove the irregularities with the selection brushes) and bake our LODs from this. There is a little wasted space because Agisoft PS wont let the vertices draw further than a set distance apart. I don't think there's much reason to add a retopo operation to the process unless you're scanning something that isn't organic or if you're on a really low poly budget.

I scanned my TV remote and it had thousands of small triangles, which I reckon turned out pretty inefficient and performance costly.
As far as I know textures is also an issue: AgiSoft outputs some messy UV maps, which forced me to redo it. Have you had this issue?

Okay so how many images did you take? Also did you create the mesh data from "Dense Cloud" (I believe its called)?
This way when you create the mesh you can define the tris count to bake to without risking a broken cage.

The UV's are fine if you make sure the mesh is okay. The UV data comes from the final cage, not the source cloud. If you have a lot of artefacts you're gonna get what look like dodgy UVs, but aren't (or shouldn't be).

What kind of photography setup have you got?

Well the process was fairly quick. I placed a camera in front of remote, made sure it was on a white background (remote is grey color) and then took a picture, then rotated remote, took a picture again, rotated the remote and so on. I don't exactly remember how many images I took, but it was 10-15 (or more).

And yes, I did build dense cloud because remote didn't look like a remote after photos has been aligned.

I am using Canon EOS 600D

However, I think the problem I have is that my camera has invalid settings like it gives me blurry background and no sharp images.

Try generating a mesh of about 1000 tris. If you're getting artefacts in the mesh, not the texture, its definitely something to do with the photos themselves.

Thats a more than adequate camera, for the very best results use a Prime lens (or zoomless lens).

I am glad my camera is not an issue!
I will look for best setting for my camera before considering purchasing prime lens though.

Yes. I wouldn't recommend spending any money on your setup until you've checked all the other variables.
