Limited number of colors in gradients ?

    I can't add more than 8 colors to either side of a gradient, and I find this limitation rather strange. Is it possible to override this maximum number of colors somewhere ?

    Sebastian Lague has a tutorial on making a custom gradient editor without the 8 key limit.

    From the .scene file we can know that it is impossible.
