This is not an enormous issue but I always like to multi-task and this includes with many things using the internet simultaneously. This is made a little more difficult by Unity presumably just downloading at maximum speed.
Hey there, Thanks for your feedback. If I understand correctly, you want a feature to limit the bandwidth that hub is using for download, right? That would be a nice feature, and we will consider it in future.
Meanwhile there are plenty of tools available for you to partition bandwidth across your applications. If it's not Unity bothering you, likely it'll be something else. Or even the asset store these days. You probably will be best off taking charge of this your end IMO. I live in the boonies and have a very slow Internet connection. I would be happy with a pause option for the download so I could kick it off and pause it when someone wants to watch NetFlix or something. I have also noticed that downloads restart from scratch if the connection gets dropped; download resume would reduce my frustration a lot!
Hi, I requested the same feature at: https://forum.unity.com/threads/is-...d-and-upload-speed-of-unitywebrequest.527461/ After so many years, is there any progress or desicion about this?
Hi Guys. Here we are in 2023. I would also love these features in Unity Hub: -throttle download speed -pause downloads -resume download if interrupted
