"Lightweight Render Pipeline/Lit" has '_Color' but isn't using it?

    Hi all, I am trying to switch over to lwrp, and the problem I am facing is that I am trying to change the color of my material by setting color. This, however, doesn't work since the shader has the property but doesn't seem to use it. Is there a way to tell if the lwrp is active? My code needs to work for when it is, and when it isn't.
