This has probably been asked Quite a few times before but here goes. I have a large scene- a space station in fact- that is viewable from the outside. It has moving parts such as a rotating outer ring and some moving solar panels. The static parts of the scene can be lightmapped quite nicely but of course as the rings and solar panels are rigged and animated they can't be lightmapped, which means they look completely different from the lightmapped parts of the scene. I'm not sure how I'm going to make the lightmapped and non lightmapped parts of the scene look similar so any advice here would be appreciated.

Is there any way, for instance, to lightmap the entire scene but still have the animated parts work properly? I know you were previously able to set animated parts to static, lightmap them then uncheck static and have them animate but I can't seem to find a solution.
