    Hi guys,

I have already posted this on Answers, but I wanted to maximize my chances of getting some kind of answer.

My problem is that the Lighting Data Asset is nowhere to be found after I relaunch Unity. The scene just doesn't know that it has been baked. Everything is just fine UNTIL I reopen Unity.

While the bake is running, I get a single error message that simply says "Baking lighting data has failed." which is not very helpful, especially since my bake is 5–7 hours long. However, when it's done baking, I can see the scene baked. It knows about the light maps, and it looks perfectly fine. But when I REOPEN the editor – pooof – it's all gone.

I have begun to have this problem since I upgraded to 5.3.6f1. I cleared the GI Cache and retried to bake several times, always with the same result.

I can't submit a bug report, because I can't recreate this problem in a test scene. When I do exactly the same setup in a smaller, more controlled environment, I don't get the error message

I know it's a long shot, but maybe some of you have encountered this problem?

    Thanks!

Okay, this problem went away for a while for no reason whatsoever, and now it's back, and it's very bad :-(
