Life of Work [WIP]

    Hello everyone! Last month I started work on a game called "Life of Work". It's about a green little person whose world changes for the better!

    This green little guy has spent years working for no reason and could never figure out why until one day his control dish that is placed on top of his head breaks. Realizing he can now do what he wants, he try's to figure out what to do with his life now. Unfortunately the world he lives in isn't so safe and more to the question who was controlling him?


    Game is a 2d Platform, The player will have minor attacks but their will be a sneaking/puzzle element to the game.

    Hey gwub, may consider making the 'sneaking' animation more crouched with his head more alert.
    As it is now the animation displays a sense of sullenness and (can't describe it correctly) kind of pouty.
    Unless that's the feel you were going for - in that case you nailed it!

    I like the style of the characters and the smoothness of the animations. Nice work.
    Do you mind sharing how you're getting the smoothness in the animations, how your animating?

    Their will be a crouch/prone state for the player but as the players limbs are very basic I'm playing around with designs on how to have a crouch animation. Also player can't be too low on the animation as their will be wall switches to be pressed etc. Also that type of sneaking is what I was aiming for as he will be worried about sneaking as his not a normal typical hero full of confidence.

    I use a Photoshop and a program called Spine2d to make the animations that helps with the smoothness of the animations.

    Hi just an Update on what's happening.

    Lately been working on some coding, animations and some new assets for the game. Here are a few Gif images just something a death animation from falling with a fade screen, also working collectable items.

    Any feed back is good feed back, hope you all have a great new years!

    • Mining animation complete, just not inserted in game
