Hello, I work in a small company where the main focus is on project management. From time to time we need an app for a project. Maybe also a little game, which I would like to make with Unity. We probably have a total annual turnover of more than $100.000. But the share of game development is probably less then 1%. The projects are mainly about environmental protection, migration, health, etc. Therefore such apps are rarely used. Is the $100,000 in annual sales and revenue from the product created with Unity, or is it really the company's total annual sales?
The license terms use the phrase "Total Finances", and refers to gross revenues of the entire organization. https://unity3d.com/legal/terms-of-service/software
Hello, thanks for your answer. It`s not completly clear to me. Here's the scenario: I work at Company A and Company B commissions me to develop an app I use Unity for the development. For the development of the app I get e.g. 10.000$ from company B. Question 1: So I provided a service and now only this $10,000 counts? Question 2: And neither Company A's nor Company B's annual revenue is relevant? Question 3: And does company B still have to pay royalties if they put the app in the Playstore and sell it? After all, the app uses unity. Thanks for your help
Can nobody help me with my questions? It is not quite clear to me when I will have to start using the paid version. Can someone answer the questions from the previous post?
