License not getting activated

I am installing Unity 3d on Ubuntu 18.04 . It is a fresh installation.
I have installed Unity Hub, and tried activating the license by clicking on the Activate new license button, but Failed to reach Unity server comes up.
I then tried manual activation
Failed to save the license file comes up.

 

Same thing for me, and I cannot open my projects. Solution, anyone??

 

start unity with
sudo ./UnityHub.AppImage --no-sandbox
If you have problems with the starting of a project, install a version out of the hub and not separately. Make sure that you have access to the required folders of the project.
