Question LevelPlay and Google CMP certification.

As a f2p app developer I'm struggling to understand how I can effectively satisfy consent requirements for EEA members and still make money from my upcoming game.

If I want to serve Admob ads Google seem to require Consent Management Platform (CMP) certification.

The Google CMP built into Admob is woeful. The threads of questions and complaints on google groups for the Admob SDK run for pages and pages. If this CMP is used, its unlikely an app would get consent to serve any ads at all.

If I use the LevelPlay SDK and consent framework, can I still configure Admob as a mediation partner? I don't see ironsource listed in the certified CMP providers here : https://support.google.com/admanager/answer/13554116?hl=en#zippy=,google-certified-cmps

 

Actually taking another look at the levelplay sdk.. I dont see any consent UI framework. Not suprisingly, I have read so widely on this that I must have become confused. Perhaps you can answer a secondary question.

Does Levelplay have any inbuilt mechanism to obtain consent from app users?

I'm also evaluating switching to LevelPlay, but I didnt quite understand if I need to show a certified Google CMP in order to show Admob ads within LevelPlay or if showing a custom window and passing the consent through an API like .setConsent(consent) (much better) would be enough.

What happens to Google's Jan 24 CMP requirement if admod is configured as a mediation partner in ironsource?

Does levelplay have or intend to have any UI for gathering consent under GDPR (or any other privacy legislation)?
