Let's play channels appealing to more mature/game dev/designer audience?

Sometimes I want to get a look at a game without buying and playing it, so I look for some youtube videos. Trying not to go on a rant here, but the vast majority of videos are very unappealing to me. I'm in my 30's, I have a decent attention span and sense of humor, I don't like hyper active guys pretending every mispronounced word is the funniest thing in the world. I'll stop before this really does turn into a rant, I think a lot of people here know what I'm trying to say.

Maybe there are even some channels where the streamer has reached a decent level of competence in the game and will point out what is good or bad in terms of design?
I know and enjoy channels like Game Maker's Toolkit, but I'm rather looking for something that shows me what a typical play session is like.

    Thanks for any suggestions!

Zero Punctuation is the best. But it's more humor than actual review.

SkillUp is a little pretentious IMO, but does give long, thoughtful reviews without annoying yootoobiness.

The front page of YT is the Tabloid of the world wide web. Honestly. I am in complete agreeance with you.

For watching people play though, I'm not interested in streaming. I just watch recorded versions on youtube, usually accompanied by these fine, beautiful words: No Commentary.

Yep I just type in '<game name> walkthrough no commentary'. It's more useful for me to watch what people do than what they think about what they are doing.

The videos with in-depth, useful commentary are not gameplay videos anyway.

Choosing games to watch which are primarily played by an older audience is also helpful. When you pick a game to watch that is primarily played by kids, the videos of it will target those same kids.

He just finished a 17 episode lets play of Foundation.
He did a long series on Kenshi. He plays Dwarf Fortress once a week.

I must admit only one other app/website does the tabloid feel "better". That would the wonderful world of snapchat. The stories suggested by said app are the apex of tabloid cringe.

    Speaking of tabloids...
