    Hello,

After the Livestream "Your First Game Jam with LEGO" on Youtube yesterday, I tried to make my own model and import it but I struggle with a connection (between briwks) behaviour.

I made a security camera model with BrickLink Studio but it seems the lateral connection is not recognized by Unity when importing :

Is there a way to enable this lateral connection or should I resign myself to have an horizontal camera?

Also, I may have tried to do a little modding of the LEGO Microgame to enhanced a little its capabilities (e.g. new LEGO Behaviours) but there are some issues I struggle with.
Is there a place to discuss about that and share my tweaks if I achieve to do some?

    Thank you!

Awesome to learn that you both watched the game jam and started to mod your own bricks. I’m quite curious what you have come up with and learn the improvement you have made.

To answer your question then I can see you have selected an element that unfortunately is not supported by our connectivity system (we want to expand that). If you follow our guide in the Import Model mod, then we link to a brick palette for BrickLink Studio that only provides elements that is supported by our connectivity system.. we do support more elements than that, but then the models build doesn’t work with the brick building tools.

Hope this answers your question otherwise let me know

Actually, I am already using the LEGO_Microgame palette in BrickLink Studio and this is why I was surprised the model was not connected when importing it in Unity.
Here is the link of this part in the BrickLink catalog that Studio gives me : https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=18677#T=A
I will probably manage to do what I want differently but I hope I am using Studio and the palette the right way.

    For the modding part:
I will try to do a change log of all the modifications I make and maybe put the project on github or in a zip file (if I am allowed to) but as always in a game jam, I have many ideas and not any clue of how long it will take me to achieve them so I am now trying to have a working game with the basics I want into and I may add some bonus things after that.

For the moment, I have made:
    - A "Field Of View Trigger" (sort of Cone shaped trigger, except it is not as easy)
    - An Input trigger specific for the X key but working with the X button of the XBox Controller. (not quite clean because it is hardcoded but satisfactory for a game jam :D)
    - An On/Off Trigger based on the X Input Trigger that activates and deactivates the linked Actions (I have modified Action class for that)
    - A Color Change Action (even if I am stuck for the Editor part because I can't copy or recreate the Moulding Colour selector of the Brick Editor script: I can't access the LEGOMaterials namespace!?)

I have a few more ideas as Light Action (to enable/disable lights), Follow Path Action or Save State Action (to save progression in PlayerPrefs) but I don't know if I will have time to implement them.
