    Hi

I'm creating Legend of Mineria, a classic dungeon crawler game and it's sice April 2019 in development.

    Features:
    • Gesture spell casting (Arx Fatalis style)
    • Alchemy system
    • Cooking system
    • Extended story
    • Explore a big dungeon with lots of puzzles, traps, loot and monsters
I created an editor and I can create very fast new levels and puzzles (lua integrated).

In this video, you only see a very small insight. The game is already in an advanced stadium.

I'm very excited about your feedback.

    Looks amazing.
I am interested as a developer, how long did you work on it>(Since April, full time?)
Which tools you used to make your development quicker? Quicker level building?
How did you acquire the art assets?
What are the things that wasted your time, like level testing that took too long? And the tools to make those go quicker?

Thank you. I'm working since April 2019 on it and I was working 100% in another job. Since October 2019 I'm working full time on it. All assets are from Asset Store, Envato Elements, created by freelancers or by myself.

The key is to set goals. Always set goals. Daily goals, weekly goals and monthly goals. If you don't know how much time a new feature take, just guess. You can always change your goals or make them bigger or smaller, but you should set lot's of goals. Every day. On every test (a bug is a new goal).

Write your goals to small papers and spread out all you planned today. Also read regularly your achieved goals and be proud.

    Sure, that address motivation.
But sometimes you can be more efficient. For instance if you spend time creating tools that will make other tasks faster.

Yes, I create tools to improve the workflow. I created a localization manager with integrated Google Translator API. Now, I can easily create new translations. I also created an icon creator and other tools to quickly setup new items, enemies and levels.

I just added this cool crossbow. What could be a matching name?
