just showing some of Legacy-Games first environment and pics of the are new game Legacy , we are a small team of 5 people , Legacy the game will be an open world survival game , will also hopefully feature a strong multilayer experience and will allow community made maps.

Basic premise : premise of the game is it will be an open world survival game , there will be single and multilayer . The game will not be like a common zombie survival game's instead its you fighting against other people and other colonies to survive in a world where the government has fallen and there is no control and the world is at a stand still and so you fight for what is left. The online multiplayer will allow you to be in a very large open world with towns , city's and rural landscapes , you must gather supplies , make a base , work with people/friends to stay alive , you will be able to attack and kill people but it will not be an easy thing to do .
Feed back would be highly appreciated

    now at http://legacy-studios.net/#/

description and story : “You can never make the right decision.”
The only piece of information you are given as you dive headfirst into Legacy, the all new First Person Shooter-Survival which has become the flagship game of Legacy Studios based in Hampshire, England. This game focuses heavily on the process of degeneration and insanity, as you are faced with keeping your morals or surviving – as the game suggests early on, you just cannot make the right decision.
Should you choose to inflict pain on those around you, those you develop relations with and those who assist or even hinder you throughout the game, you find your character develops psychopathic tendencies amongst the lack of performance in aspects of the game. However, these tendencies help you to kill more effectively.
Your government appears to have abandoned you, leaving a wide open world that is yours to explore, or dominate. The decision is in your hands. Built on the Unity engine, Legacy offers a unique new gaming experience that focuses on your actions and their repercussions. But don’t just take our word for it, experience it yourself. Coming soon to Steam.

Hard to see much from this angle blocked by tree.. try making more screenshots from different angles. Grass feels a little of weird color and fence stands out too much. But then again I don't know if its a specific art style or alien planet :) My 2 cents.

    My opinion:

At first glance, it looks too "plain". And by that, I mean the grass isn't varied, it all looks the same with no diversity. The trees look a little better, but they're too dark, so you can't really see them. But that could also just be the picture angle/etc.

The view in the far distance looks really cool. It kind of gives you a sense of vastness. Honestly I think the biggest problem I have with it is the grass. It needs more variation, and perhaps a darker color -- to me.

Not bad though, also most of it could be that the picture is small and granular.

Thanks velo222 for your feedback , seems the grass is becoming a common dis like - il try to change it to be more gritter and darker not like dead , also i know the fence does not quite fit int so will change .

    What is this?
    This is nothing.

Not to say that you haven't made more content, but from our perspective you've put more energy into the page and this post than whatever this is.

You've posted one meaningless screen shot with no details and then made a thread to stir up attention about ???

If you want more feed back you've got to give the community something to feed on.

The above. Content. An actual game in progress, with actual mechanics.

Here's some perspective- I've been working on a turn-based RPG since June of last year. I am still not at a stage worth showing to anybody. The most important thing in a game is the gameplay of the game. Focus on that, not some vague screenshots. There will be more to feed back on when you have some mechanics to show. This is, after all, a game, not some pretty scenes strung together.

Hi "fishman92" , thank you for the feedback , i understand what you are saying , we have been working on on basic mechanics we have crouch and sprint built in , and have also added a pause menu in game which allows you to restart and get to the main menu's , when you start playing the games we have also made a very short and small script for lock the mouse cursor to the game screen and not showing it like in most major title games , if it is the mechanics you are interested and not the visuals we will be happy to show some of them .

Hi adamh1 , sorry but the game is still in development and would not deliver what you might expect , though we are up to alpha v6 of the game which has full menu system etc , full working and you use basic mechanics and explore the single player map , multiplayer map is very large and having a lot of work done to it , if you are very interested in having a play of a very early version of the game , visit are site and join the pre register list , that way if you tell us your name we will be able to see it and see your email address and can send you an email with the URL links to download the launcher which will then check if there is using the most up to date version and you will be able to see and explore some of the map etc .

Legacy, you understand that the premise of the game is the premise of Rust and DayZ? And these are giants and all the players compare and hate on any game similar? I know you will say that these two games have zombies and your don't, well the bad news is that Rust got rid of the zombies (so now is only pvp) and DayZ zombies are useless, so the same thing again.

Also, for a 5 person team, what you shown until now is very little. Takes a day to setup a scene like that also having a working character and hunger system.

So basically like every other Day Z and Rust clone out there?

Mate, I get you're excited to show off screenshots and start trying to generate hype as early as possible, but ever since Day Z got popular, everyone and their dog is trying to jump on the bandwagon of online-zombie-survival-base-building-player-interacting-open-world-totally-not-like-dayz game. If you want to convince me to be interested in this project over those and the may others like them, you'll need to show me more than a ten minute scene full of standard assets, untextured cubes and a probably downloaded model stuck in a T pose.

Guys, you are right, but some of you are really mean, he is probably starting game development and want to show his progress, which is totally normal.

Constructive feedback will help him more than being aggressive!

Hi blacklight , thank you for your feedback , we are not trying to copy day z or any other games , we are trying to develop a survival game a bit different to the usual of zombies or building and gaining supplies/crops , the idea is instead you are in a world with every one else , every one is normal but will be against you as there is no government no economy to keep the world under control , so you have to form colonies and groups with other people to insure you own survival . A better description of the game will be available to read on the site very soon .

ambitious game for 5 member team and an angel investor with deep pockets.

stable network code or that matter community made maps using what.obj ? raises a few red flags.

DayZ falls flat on its ass with less than 64 players and it's suppose to be good at 128 , bohemia been around 10 or more years, Its just not that simple too make games even approaching this sophisticated as you suggest. Dont waste the team on such lofty concepts pick something manageable..

Hi runner , thank you for your feedback . We understand that are goal and game is quite ambitious for a team of 5 but are team consists of some quite talented people and all dedicated , we have all the time in the world to develop our game as all of us are students , we are not using the game to earn profit or revenue we are making it as its something we enjoy doing , we promote the game to gather community support for feedback , help and what needs improving. If there is anything you would like to see us do or try to incorporate within the game either post into are sites forum http://legacy-studios.net/ or carry on in the unity forum . Thanks Sam

I have now left Legacy, and as has another member, Jake (He did a few weeks ago), as we both feel that development is going at too slow of a pace, and the updates are not frequent enough (The last one was a month ago today, and no work has been done since).
Also, there is not enough team work going on. eg. a team member was supposed to have basic models ready 3 weeks ago and has still not provided or done any work on them.

Keep with the Vision First Foremost and cycling through a staff change just is not a deal breaker, It happens all the time with development teams.

    Good Luck
