    Hello,
I know this question may have been asked many times but where is the best place, or books to learn all about unity. I'm a amateur coder, so am not too experienced but really enjoy game design. where can i find this information? It would be great if you could just give a list of free webpages, videos and courses or some books from amazon.
    Thank you

Packtpub (www.packtpub.com) has a lot of very good books on Unity if that is what you are after.
There is also the excellent videos by Unity:
    • unity3d.com/learn/tutorials/modules

    Websites:
    • unityready.com
    • Youtube.com (search for the channels of Brackeys, Speedtutor, TheFaceGrabber, Quill18creates, Pushypixels, etc)

    Good luck :)

    I would also suggest:
    http://unity3d.com/learn

... which includes lessons and projects:
    http://unity3d.com/learn/tutorials/modules

    ... live training:
    http://unity3d.com/learn/live-training

    ... and our documentation:
    http://unity3d.com/learn/documentation

There should be a lot of things there, including small but complete projects.

Sadly, I can't recommend any good books or written material, as the few that I have read are pretty pathetic. Hit the online publishers, but read the comments first before buying. Often these books are riddles with suggestions that are not best practice in Unity, or are stale and outdated.
