Latest linux installer not working (both Debian and script)

    I couldn't get the latest build of the linux installer to run. When I run the Debian package it gives the following error:
    "It does not appear to be a valid Debian package file."

    The shell script fails with:
    "It is possible that the compressed file(s) have become corrupted."

    I downloaded an older version of the Unity installer and it installed fine. I am running Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS.

    You should download it with a download manager. I used the command line tool 'wget'.

    Unity server keeps terminating the connection... you should resume the download.
