Should be. I'm using a MSI GT62VR-6RE Dominator Pro, which looks very similar to yours. It's a GTX1070, but I can't see why the 1060 wouldn't be enough.

I'm using a Rift, btw. No issues at all running VR games. I even got two 27" monitors plus a keyboard and mouse to hook up to it.

    Desktop? What desktop?

@BlackPete Do you just running VR Games? Do you develop VR games on your laptop?

Yes, I run VR games, and yes I develop VR applications on the laptop. No issues whatsoever.

I would recommend looking at Clevos and other notebooks. 1060+ should be totally fine for VR development.

No, it's the fans to cool down the GPU. But it's not a super unpleasant one.

Did you buy the MSI laptop? If so was it powerful enough for VR development with Oculus Rift? I am thinking of buying one as well, but don't know if it is truly "VR Ready" in terms of dev.
