    Hey, question

will it annoy players, when the game will start as landscape but the gameplay will be as a portrait?
like it will popup a warring where is it going to change to a portrait but will I lose players because of the change or its fine to do it?

How many apps do you know that do that?

If there are few you have to have a good reason for it.
If there are none, chances are that this is considered bad for the user experience/retention or may even violate HID guidelines.

not sure, it's bit unique, maybe at least prototype it, one of the advantages of a video - game engine that you can do whatever // almost everything, weird camera stuff, crazy level - design, it doesn't really matter . . .

at least prototype it, and see if you like the stuff yourself, and if it's a good idea of course keep it, however if it doesn't work then perhaps try something else, though it's important to realize that either different, or bold ideas also over game - dev are sometimes rewarded, and ' weird ' ideas also turn into mega - hits, think the MOBA genre was something like that, however it's bit rare it's that succesful // prototype the stuff, and either keep working on the stuff until it's cool, or whatever, or then figure different ways of doing stuff, remember that there are better-rules, and tried-and-true stuff, however one could also be experimental, or at least see if a new feature works, or makes sense, just be ready to get rid of it // depends on also response you get from users, think overall various ideas, or new tropes as could also be called should be tested, and there's no harm in making a perhaps 5 - 10 minute prototype, it's over also stuff being easily editable, anyway some of the best ideas indies have ever had are actually over ' experimental ' stuff, or almost prototypes, that then got a ton of features added, etc etc . . .
