L.V.E - Lava Volcano Environment [RELEASED]

    attempts to build with IOS using both OpenGles3 and Metal both failed in the device build although everything looks great in the editor. OpenGLES3 shows the lava flow as black. Metal however was totally transparent, showing the terrain underneath... :(

    Thanks for info!:) Please use only mobile shader because tesseled will not work on mobiles;)

    All these tests are only for the mobile flowmap shader

    Ok so I will investigate that then. Developer which is able to make tests one by one will back in 5th of the July from holiday. Please be patient.

    I can confirm that the "Lava River Mobile Vertex Color Flowmap Cheap.shader" does not work on iOS. I renders 100% transparent. Tested on both an iPhone 6s and an iPhone XS running iOS 12.4 with Unity 2019.1.14f1. The non-flowmap version of this mobile shader works just fine, but the flowmap version is broken on iOS.

    Any idea when you guys might be able to fix this? The flowmap shader is awesome, and I'd really like to be able to use it!

    Looks absolutely amazing.
    I need some objects to appear in the lava, that flows with the laver as if it was a river and I can see the asset includes a physics flow system.
    However I need the lava to going around the object, as if it was a rock in a rive
    and the lava not going trough the object. Is it possible? Also to animate the object and have the lava flowing according to the movement of the object?

    I recently upgraded to l.v.e 2019 to try it out in hdrp, but I'm having some issues in Unity 2019.2.16f1 with hdrp 6.9.2 where the emission isn't working properly on the lava shaders, and in general the shaders look a bit off and sometimes stretched compared to video. Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong?

    1)Did you put post processing at scene? Basicly bloom release emission at screen.
    2) HD RP doesnt have tesselation on custom shaders yet so for sure it work a bit worse until they allow to create tesseled shaders via graphs
    3)Make note that we rather support 6.9.0 I can't say it will work at 6.9.2 as all custom shaders are broken when you jump from 6.9.0 into 6.9.1 or higher. In lw rp shaders works on big range of version but at hd rp you never know what will be broken at which version. Can you check if you got same issue at 6.9.0 ?

    Yes you got API, simply build code which will call his functions. You can even simulate it.

    hi, is just imported l.v.a in unity 2019 +urp version and used urp support pack but still some lava texture are pink

    hi, i just updated to 2020.2, and it's not working anymore

    Shader error in 'NatureManufacture/URP/Lava River/Lava River Vertex Color Flowmap': Invalid conditional expression.
    and a couple of other bug. ,)

    Anyone knows how to change flow map, i went to Tools - vertex painter and flow map beta but doesnt do anything, i want a stone in lava river and lave goes around the stone but just goes through it

    I imported an asset but the material turns pink.
    I'd like to know how to fix it.

    I'll write down the steps I tried.
    Unity Ver 2019.4.19 2020.3
    Create a new URP project.
    Install LVE-lava-and-volcano-environment immediately.
    Material is pink
    URP7.2Unity2019.3LavaandVolcano.unitypackage
    URP7.18Unity2019.3LavaandVolcano.unitypackage
    I imported both of them, but the material is still pink.

    How can I fix this problem?

    Did you remove shaders folder before you import support packs like we mention in readme;)? 7.2 support pack will work

    You should mention that in bold letters with comment what happens if you don't do it. I'd have expected that all shaders were overwritten. That didn't happen.

    I will try to fix that somehow because its only engine bug. Even If I replace shader it doesnt recognize them ;/ in prefabs.

    Hello. I'm using Unity 2020.3.13f LTS, and UniversalRP. I followed the install instructions (I removed the shaders folder folder before updating, and then changed the URP and Project settings as instructed). When I test the demo scenes, there are strange lighting artifacts that look like photography camera flashes that happen as the camera moves or rotates in the scene in Play mode. It seems to be related to the emissions/bloom, but I can't figure out how to fix it. Any advice?

    Try setup that at rocks, reduce treshold a bit

    Lowering that setting did reduce the flashing, but only because it also reduced the lava rock glow effect and distributed the red glow color over the entire rock, rather than in the crevices where the lava glows. The point at which the flashing is eliminated is the point where there is no more glow effect. We want to keep the correct glow effect, but eliminate the flashing/lens flare effect. Is there anything else I can try? I don't know enough about shaders to try and fix it myself.

    EDIT: After trying more things, I noticed that turning off anti-aliasing removed the flare effect. I don't know why that would be, or how anti-aliasing could affect bloom, but maybe that can help narrow down the problem in the shader?

    Did you try other AA version? There are few.

    Not sure if it will run at 10.5 we support officialy released 10.3 which is default in engine. We cannot promiss how far compatibility will remain.

    Sorry, Discord doesn't let me sign up for things--it says my email is in use, but won't send me any reset options. Anyway, I did try all of the AA options, and only turning it off worked. Do others not have the same experience with URP? Do your projects behave this way? I did have other Nature Manufacture and Procedural Worlds assets installed in that project (RAM, Gaia 2, Winter Environment, and others)....could those have interfered somehow with the Lava asset? Please forgive my ignorance, I'm just a hobbyist (more artist than coder) with no technical knowledge.
