Official Known Issues - Legacy Unity Analytics

    This thread is meant to increase visibility to some of our solved issues (to prevent people from using builds with known bugs), get feedback on some of our existing issues and consolidate information that is scattered around various forum threads.

    Known Issues in the Unity Editor
    Version: 5.4.0
    Platform: UWP
    Issue: UWP does not store analytics user ids correctly.
    Fixed in 5.4.3

    Version 5.4.0
    Platform: WebGL
    Issue: User ids are not saved correctly. (All user ids saved as 00000000000000000000000000000000.)
    Fixed in 5.4.2p1

    Version 5.4.0, 5.5.0
    Platform: Android
    Issue: Internet permission is not added to non-development builds, preventing Analytics events from sending.
    Fixed in 5.4.4p4, 5.5.2p1

    Known Issues on the Analytics Dashboard
    • The Data Explorer will only show the top 10 values for any Custom Event parameter plus an “Others” category, which will be the total from all the other parameters. More details in this forum post.
    • Funnels and Segments only capture data after they are created.
    • Data processing will only begin after you visit your dashboard at least once.
    • Comparing multiple parameters a single Custom Event is not currently possible in the Data Explorer. (e.g. If you have the level_name and score in a Custom Event, there is no way to see the average score per level_name.)
    • We have stopped processing unity.SceneLoad events, so these events will not show up in the Data Explorer, funnels or segments, (though they may still show up in your Event Manager). They have been removed completely from 2018.1.
    • We have stopped processing UserAttribute / UserInfo events. These events are no longer available in the dashboard or Raw Data Export.
