Looking to transfer my Kinect V2 project into Unity from Processing to take advantage of the larger ecosystem and more robust options.

One big thing I am looking at is how to smooth, average, or mitigate the noisy depth feed in real time. Here is a good example of someone breaking this down albeit for another IDE. https://www.codeproject.com/Articles/317974/KinectDepthSmoothing

Although I am stumbling along I am curious if anyone can point me in the direction of a few items:

    1) Are there any Kinect Assets for Unity that have this feature built in? (Maybe it is called something else...)

    2) Is there a way to do this independent of the Kinect? Maybe another asset entirely?

    3) Is there a better depth camera? Clearly the Kinect, V1 and V2, are deprecated; though still available and cheap. Thinking there is an Intel version, and a few others but I am thinking the assets for these may be further limited. https://www.intelrealsense.com/

Thank you for any tips I appreciate any help getting started!
