I got my Kindle fire, but I can't seem to figure out how to run a build on it, and I can't find it in Amazon's docs.

    Any info is greatly appreciated!

I don't have the right USB cable to install that way. So to test an app I uploaded the build to my website, then downloaded with the browser on the fire, and finally installed it. You may need to go to settings | device and allow installation of application from unknown sources.

Doesn't help with debugging though and is a PITA. I'll get a cable this weekend and try.

Looks like you just need to add the vendor id to the usb_ini file, and install a driver if on a PC (not Mac). Just did a quick web search.

You can also find it for windows here: http://www.technipages.com/kindle-fire-enable-usb-debugging.html Really kind of stupid they removed USB debugging but I guess a number of phones are the same way. Android is a mess, no consistency like WP7 and iOS.

The cable is pretty easy to find, best buy, local wireless phone stores etc will have them as well as computer shops. Its a micro usb, same cable many phones use to plug into you computer.

I hate to post after posting, but want to feel as stupid as I do? According to the Fire faq on Amazon Developer "Kindle Fire has USB debugging enabled by default." they also have a link to a windows 7 driver... I certainly feel stupid.

I have a Kindle Fire as well, all goes well until unity tried to put it on the device. I have a USB cable attached and the device set to allow apps to be loaded, but every time I get the device not found. I have it working on a Samsung tab with no issue but the Kindle Fire will not take. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's probably some simple stupid switch or setting I have missed, usually is. My settings android 2.3.1 arm7 only and OpenGL ES 2 and I am on Unity 3.4.0

What about dealing with an SQLite database build for Kindle Fire?
