Hello, i'm using Fedora 27 , The 3D editor worked fine until a kernel upgrade was made. One easy fix was to upgrade the nvidia drivers. I have to report that each time i upgrade the kernel (on Fedora it happens quite a lot) Unity fails on startup with the message "Failed to initialize graphics" , the only way to fix it is to reinstall nvidia drivers. Can anybody tell me if there exists a way to prevent this behavior ?
It sounds like the kernel upgrades are breaking the graphics driver installation. In the case where Unity fails to start, what does glxinfo report?
