Bug Keep running into this crash

    Every 30 minutes or more often I get an infinite busy Paint loop (image of message attached), usually when reloading scripts. I can't find any specific moment or way to reproduce, and of course it could be some of the assets I'm using, which are not that many though. This has been happening from beta 2023.3.0b1 all the way to the last 2023.3.0b5 so I've lost hope another upgrade would fix it. No idea how to even start to debug this problem so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    It also seem to crash in a similar way if its left minimized for a while, when this happens there is no Busy popup at all

    Hook up a debugger and break all while you're stuck here

    this still happening even in unity beta 6 it been happening for awhile now almost if not all beta versions have same issue. if i see .paint i know that im going to open task manager and lose all progress if i havent saved earlier. need a fix, using hdrp 2023 b6 directx 12

    this is why everyone says alpha + beta should not be used for production

    I recently had similar problems with the beta (beta6). What I noticed in my case was always after a script reload, and in two or three cases I had the profiler open with a search.

    beta 7 released and still same .paint issue.

    Yes since they started messing with the UI a few versions ago, DX12 editor is as stable as an earthquake. You only have to look at the screen for it to crash on a .paint, or tool refresh. It seems to be DX12 problem. It's been happening for the last two beta and full releases for me.

    I have learnt to save after every edit, as it crashes so frequently.

    Also using DX12/HDRP.

    Don't even get me started on the performance degradation on DX12... :(

    Yeah we found DX12 is very unstable in 2023.3, but this has been the case for 3-4 months.

    All our crashes disappeared switching editor to DX11 (did not notice issues in build though with DX12)
