TIL: If you don't have the helmet (rift) on, the buttons on the controllers won't fire in unity. I wear glasses, so I was trying to quickly assess what things would look like in scene view while the helmet was on my head like a hat. Things were going well, but it's off balance so I put it on the desk. The OVRInput buttons refused to show true after that on GetButtonDown etc. 4 hours and all of the googling I could muster later, I decide to put the helmet on again, and everything works. Then off, then on, then Ah-ha! Just a heads up if one day you feel like the crown is too heavy. It's tricky to do this with glasses, anybody have any tips for putting this thing on 100 times a day? I can't think of a way to get around it.

A small part of a post-it note over the sensor on the bridge of the nose is our trick!

The controllers will update so long as that little shiny dot is covered.
