jagged edges on realtime gi

    I experience weird artefacts on my realtime GI bakes and I am not sure how I can get rid of them.

    I use precomputed realtime GI with a realtime resolution of 2 to 8.
    Directional Mode is set to "Directional".

    Please see the following images as illustration:
    Note that the edges are not on any UV boundary or Enlighten cluster boundary as far as I can tell.

    It's related to the RGBM encoding. It has been around since the start. Not much you can do about it.

    I hope they will fix the issue with their encoding then, artifacts like this make the whole scene look unprofessional and cheap to my eyes.

    Issue has been around since 2014, not sure if expecting a fix is reasonable.

    Do another bug report. Mine is pretty old. Worst case it'll showcase there's demand for a fix.

    Hi, we are working on supporting r9g9b9e5 float texture format support for the Enlighten irradiance output texture on the platforms that can support this. This format can be filtered without the artefacts that RGBM has.
