How do I edit the character to turn it into a playable character?

I'm quite pleased that I've managed to do something without all the errors of previous attempts.

 

There are thousands of movement tutorials on youtube, quick search will get you started. Or even better, go to unity learn and go through some of the basic lessons on coding. Type, them out, don't cut and paste, you will earn a lot more that way.

This is your prime chance to learn. Make your object do something, anything. Move to the left/right/up/down with a keypress. Get the feel for what is happening without pasting someone else's code.
